Well I spent most of the yesterday morning and night and a good part of this morning working on my VMware/ video server/ added extra thorn in my side computer. If you are reading this, then count your lucky stars that it hasn’t crashed again since I host my blog on this computer too. It’s a real pain at the end of the day when I want to watch some of my tv shows and my only means of doing that is borked. I mean what am I suppose to do? Read a book? Learn something?
It crashed sometime on Saturday night and I believe it was the video card that died. Luckily I have ten or twenty of those laying around. It’s always satisfying when your first attempt at troubleshooting turns out successful. I just wish that I had thought of a hardware failure before working on it for six hours. Instead, I had to wait until the computer flat out said, “I ain’t starting until you change my oil and give me a fresh set of spark plugs.”
Oh well. Such is life. I just wish I could poke and prod my programming assignment for a few hours and then magically make it work. Until then, I’ll be coding away on it for the next couple of days.
